I am planning on stepping down as Chatelaine at St Catherine's Faire later this year so I am looking for someone enthusiastic to become my deputy for the next few months, to learn the ropes and hopefully make the transition to a new officer much easier.
Becoming a deputy does not necessarily mean that you will have to take on the full office when I step down, but if you are interested then it will definitely boost your chances to have some experience in the role.
The role is not onerous, all that is required is to respond to e-mail queries, attend the monthly council meeting, and do what you can to encourage newcomers to the Barony. The 'job specs' can be found on the website at http://ildhafn.lochac.sca.org/node/732
