A few notes from last week's Longsword class.

In addition to the previous week's drills, two new ones.

Posture drill: Adopt postures while saying name.  Start with left foot forward, then repeat with right foot forward.

  • Vom Tag (Sword above head pointing at the roof)
  • Langort (Sword straight out in front)
  • Alber (Sword pointing down at the floor, slightly off to the side)
  • Ochs (Sword pointing forward, hilt near the head.  Left foot forward version has wrists crossed.)

To last week's cutting drill we added Oberhau 1, Oberhau 2, Unterhau 3, Unterhau 4.

We then did Meyer's 2nd and 3rd plays from Vom Tag.
