Music session - 17th October 2017
Present:
Sympkyn of the Moor, hammered dulcimer
Elyna Delynor, lever harp
Emily, soprano recorder
Tunes played:
This was our first session back after school holidays and a very small group, containing a new person! So we took our time going through some old favourites at a fairly relaxed pace.
We played:
-Earl of Essex Measures
-Lorrayne Almain
-New Almain
as a three part harmony in various forms, it was a nice combination of sounds.
Then we thought we'd try a couple "by ear"/learning in phrases without dots; we went for
-Triory Bransle (being nice and short) and then
-Single Bransle
Both went jolly well indeed. Next session we'll do the same tunes and get them more familiar before adding more (probably).

Future music sessions will take place on TUESDAYS rather than Mondays. NEW VENUE! (email me on music@ildhafn.lochac.sca.org for address), same time (7.30pm - 9.30pm).
