Music session - 15th August 2017

Tunes played:
We started with revising the Single Bransle. Starting on a G with a Bb in the melody and an accidental F# as the second to last note, which non-chromatic instruments replace with a low D. Sheet music will be posted soon, promise.
(As usual, not using sheet music is encouraged, if one is playing either melody or simple enough accompaniment, but I understand if people don't know the actual tune then it helps to have it written.)
Then we did the Double Bransle next, in the same pitch/key/etc.
And then the Montarde Bransle, which still needs a bit of practice.
Finally we thought we'd see how a good ol' Cantiga would go, so we played Cantiga 119.
Will be revisiting all the above next time.

Future music sessions will take place on TUESDAYS rather than Mondays. Same venue* (email me for address), same time (7.30pm - 9.30pm).
