Music session - 6th March 2017

Present:

Sympkyn of the Moor, hammered dulcimer
Katherine of Glastonbury, harp
William de Cameron, tenor recorder
Elena Harper, rebec and harp

Tunes played:

We started with the Cantiga. Most people are getting the melody down pretty well. Dots still being used while it gets more familiar.

Then we played Il Canario for a bit. No dots allowed of course. Everyone seems ok with this one, with the basic tune at least.

Next was the galliard La Traditore my fa Morire, again no dots, three of us have this one inside out and the other had it pretty much learned by ear by the end of the session.

We ran through the Earl of Essex Measures for old times' sake, to check we remember it.

Then we bashed through Pinagay for a bit, before our brains officially fell out and we had to call it a night.
