La Tricotea

Date:
c. 1500?
Discussion:

A song for the festival of St Martin - the wine harvest, when all of last year's wine has to be drunk to make room in the barrels for this year's.

The words make less and less sense as the song goes on.

Sound:

A clip of the King's Singers performing this song (youtube).

Composer:
Alonso?
Sheet Music:

We're learning this transposed up a fifth (in C instead of F) so it can be comfortably sung by two women and a man - SAT instead of ATB.
