Additional Costs to warn people about:

Friday Dinner – Fish and Chips – recommend people budget $5-10 for food and beverages – Menu will be available prior to event - Eleanor to check out local chippies asap.

Saturday Dinner - Pub night – recommend people budget $25ish + beverage costs – Info about the Clevedon Hotel can be found here

Site:

We intend to use Camp Sladdin due to it’s size, cost and the fact that there are two separate halls in which we can run classes.

I have pencilled the site and have made contact again to confirm the booking – I’m just waiting for them to contact me and confirm (I never received the paperwork they were meant to send me)

Site costs:

Camp Sladdin has a minimum number of bookings which is double what we’d like to set our realistic break even at – to accommodate this we have adjusted the site costs to cover the extra bookings (ie it has become $17 per night instead of $8.50)

This does have a significant impact on the overall cost of the event but this is still probably the most cost effective way to hire halls and accommodation for people.

Bookings:

Steward will deal with bookings, given the small number of expected attendees this should be straight forth.

Billeting:

Will not be offered – it will be recommended that those who wish to request billets ask on the Ildhafn list or ask their local friends as accommodation will be available on both Friday and Saturday Nights.

Eleanor has offered to do a late night run to the airport on both Friday and Sunday for anyone wishing to take advantage of AirNZ’s nightrider flights to/from Wellington.

Sleeping Arrangements:

CPAP users can be put into the small bunk rooms.

There are enough bunks that people can sort themselves out – we will gender split the bunk rooms.
