Alle Psallite & Gush Forth My Tears

Submitted by Vettoria di Gio... on March 3, 2013 - 6:50pm

Singing today with Katherina, William de Cameron, Eleanor, and Caterine.

For the midway break, we listened to two versions of Alle Psallite - one by the Lumina Vocal Ensemble (with recorders), the other by the Early Voices group - contrasting performances but both beautiful!

  • Laudemus Virginem - when sung in parts, gradually increasing in volume through the first three bars and decreasing through the final three
  • Margot labourez les vignes - a reminder about the pronounciation of "trois", "roi" and "vignes" - remember you can listen to the pronunciation mp3s for help with these!
  • Jubilate Deo - "J" is an "I"
  • Alle Psallite - Eleanor learnt the middle line, with Katherina joining her, Caterine sang the top line and William the base - it's coming along nicely!
  • Gush Forth My Tears - Eleanor sang the top line, Caterine the middle, and William the base, with Katherina teaching all three
  • Dona Nobis Pacem - something nice & peaceful to end the afternoon on!
