More singing

Submitted by Katherina Weyssin on January 13, 2013 - 10:23pm

We had nearly our full complement of singers once again. Thanks for hosting it, Caterine.

Laudemus Virginem

A nice warm-up, as always. I'll get a pronunciation-guide together at some point.

O my heart

It was nice to have all three parts represented again, in their customary octaves.

Verbum caro factum est

Singing it in C, with both men and women on each line, and women singing an octave higher than men, was definitely the right choice.

I've updated the sound files for the rhythmic changes we introduced today - a pause (one dotted minim) at the end of each verse and each chorus, but not, as we had been doing, at the end of each line within a verse.

I've also added sound-files in the octave the women are singing.

A pronunciation guide will come, when I get time for it.

Well done everyone who took a verse alone today - you did it splendidly.
