~ The Baron's Birthday Picnic! ~
Saturday, 2nd of November 2019 from 11am
The Baron and Baroness of Ildhafn invite you to join them for a garb-optional 
picnic at Cornwall Park, in celebration of the Baron's Birthday!
Bring your picnic blanket and something for your lunch, something to do,
or simply come along and relax.
This is in place of Stuff Day and is similarly informal. Wear your comfortablest garb, or just come in plain clothes if you'd rather. Bring your A&S projects and crafts to work on, games, musical instruments, and even swords!
(Committee meeting will either take place off to one side at 1pm as usual, or take place by email, at the discretion of the Seneschal.)

Driving instructions: Enter the park from Urban Route 9 (Street name: Green Lane West, Greenlane, Auckland) and turn into Pohutukawa Drive. At the first roundabout you come to, take the first left. As you enter this area you will see a flagpole straight ahead and a public toilet on your right. Continue around that carpark following the one-way system and turn left again - this straight way is Hugh Latimer Drive, and our picnic spot is on the left, on the grass under the trees. You will be able to see us by now!
We will start gathering from 11am but feel free to come along later if you wish. The park's gates close at 8pm so we will start wrapping up at around 7pm.
There is no timetable for this day. Come when you can and leave when you like.
Facilities:
There is a dedicated carpark at the venue.
Public toilets are nearby.
There is a cafe on-site in case anyone wants to opt for bought food, or if (for example) emergency coffee is required.

Rain plan
There will be no rain date. If it rains, we'll do Stuff Day at the B&B's house as usual.
The decision whether not to picnic will be made by Elyna Delynor m.k.a. Wendy Piddington at 9am Saturday morning and will be published on the Ildhafn and Cluain email lists, and the Ildhafn and Cluain Facebook groups.
