This year we’re trying something new - once a month (on the first Sunday of each month) the Barony is hiring some hall space for a couple of hours for people to get together, work on projects together, run some classes or workshops, and talk about what we’re all up to.
The first of these is on March 6th, from 3-5pm at Avondale Lions Hall.
This is informal - modern clothes.
There will be no charge for attending in March, but there may be a small fee in future to help cover hall costs (exact amount will depend on possible hall options which are being investigated).
On the other Sundays each month, some people are generously offering to open up their houses for social, craft or gatherings. (Of course, this doesn’t have to be limited to Sundays!)
On March 6th, we’ll be working on those last minute competition entries for St Sebastians, having a mending party (bring along that garb repair you’ve been putting off!), and having a discussion about the Ildhafn website (what would you like to see?). Some of the baronial silk banners might get some attention too, all help will be greatly appreciated!
Bring along this year’s projects and ideas for classes and workshops you’d like to attend or run.
In April, we’re planning have-a-go harp lessons, and an arrow making workshop.
We’d love to see you all there!
