Meeting opened: 7.42pm

OFFICER REPORTS:

Reeve: David has taken over from Gary, handover was done at the Bloth. Current Bank balances Chq $1899.24, Savings $957.25. Has lots of $ to bank from the Bloth.

Rapier Marshal: David has stepped down. No replacement as yet. Don't think one is actually required by kingdom.

A&S: Michaela absent, Katherine in her place. Approval from Kingdom A&S has been received so handover will occur at Royal Visit.

WebMinister: Please send updated Regnum details so website can be updated. ST CATHS STEWARD NEEDS TO FORWARD DETAILS OF EVENT ASAP!!!

B&B: Communicating with P&P about upcoming event. Will be hosting them over the weekend.

Equestrian: Moving horse to new grazing which has option of hiring horses. Regular weekly training sessions will commence when weather improves. There have been some changes to Equestrian rules which will need to be looked at in the next few weeks.

College: e-mails posted to AUMG list about possible classes.

Still waiting on responses. Frostbane festival will be AUMG event, Barony will be invited to do a demo of SCA combat.

College would like to present a play at the Royal visit.

Herald: no report received.

Marshal: Replacement has been approved. Handover will occur at Royal Visit.

Constable/Archery: no report received.

Seneschal: Nothing to report.

Chatelaine: Changeover occurred at The Bloth. Zara is new Chatelaine, but unable to attend tonight.

The Bloth:

42 booked, several last minute cancellations and no-shows.

32 actually attended. Some confusion about $ being collected by other people, and not being passed on to Steward.

Suggestion that Reeve check ability of bank to provide online banking service. Tournament of Roses had to be cancelled due to inclement weather. Several recommendations from cook - need pots, roasting pans, meat thermometer, mortar & pestle, decent knives, and medium sized serving bowls. Some discussion about what to do with people that cancelled at last minute who hadn't paid. Food already bought to cater for them. Council decided that we should collect food costs of $12 per person from them. Total no persons = 6 => $72 to be collected. With this figure included, the event made a profit of $137.88. Kingdom and Baronial Taxes ($64) to be deducted from this.

Royal Visit:

St George Church hall, Takapuna, has been booked for this event. Total cost is $154.58. Needs to be paid in advance - cheque required. Have spoken with Takapuna Primary School about use of field for tourney. They are charging $40. Need to query whether this would be refundable if weather causes tourney to be cancelled. School now closed for holidays so no way to contact them about this. School re-opens Monday after event so will pay then if we use field. Have received bookings and payment for 10 adults & 2 children. 4 more adults have booked but not paid yet. $60 cheques and $160 cash given to Reeve for banking. Need cheque for $300 for food (30 people @ $10 each) required.

General Business:

Court at Events - would be helpful if Heralds made an announcement 15 mins prior to Court asking for anyone with business to go before the B&B to see the herald.

Quartermaster to make a list of kitchen items that the Barony has so we can decide what other things we need. Also to organise boxes better, and work on list for Stewards.

Stewards page on Website needs to be expanded to include info about how to prepare for and run events. Alex would like those of us with experience running events to get together for an info sharing session. To be arranged after Coronation/Royal visit.
