Emrys and Eleanor attached cross-hilts to shinai (theirs, Ludwig's and Katherina's). Eleanor and Benedict started on scabbards for rapiers using two quite different techniques - the rest of us will wait to see how they work before we decide who to copy. The difficult part seems to be getting a scabbard that works well and looks like 16th century examples that will accomodate the blunts we use to make combat safe.
