Music workshop, 10am – 4pm Saturday 4th October 2025

Pukekohe High School
Organised by Elizabeth Braythwayte (aka Bess)

If you love playing music and/ or singing, or would like to learn, then this workshop is for you!

We will be able to have up to 4 sessions happening at one time, so that you can focus on what you enjoy, or you can sample different options across the day. The exact content will depend on who signs up to come along, but is likely to include:

  • Singing
  • Recorder playing
  • Stringed instruments

Further options are listed on the registration form.

We are aiming to have sessions suitable for beginners and ones for more experienced musicians.

If you have an instrument gathering dust at home, waiting for you to learn to play or to get back to it, this may be your chance to be inspired!

There will be a show and tell session, where you can have a look at instruments that would have been played before the 17th century.

This workshop will be in mundane (not medieval) clothing.

You can bring your own lunch or buy something locally.

There is no cost for this event, but please register by 26th September so that a plan can be put together for the day.
