Performances at the Bloth, 2012

Submitted by Katherina Weyssin on March 30, 2012 - 7:54pm
  • Two pieces on the cornamuse (Elizabeth Braythwayte). She played 'Country Jig' from Mel Bay's Recorder Book of Medieval and Renaissance Music by Franz Zeidler - date and composer unknown; and 'Drinking of Ale' by Thomas Ravenscroft from A Briefe Discourse, 1614
  • Como puedo yo vivir and Rodrigo Martinez (Christine and Katherina Weyssin, both singing)
  • O my heart (Christine, soprano, William de Cameron singing tenor, and Katherina Weyssin tenor recorder)
  • Cesarina (dance reconstructed by Anna de Wilde, danced by Anna and William de Cameron)
  • Dona Nobis Pacem (a round for the whole hall to sing, lead by Christine Bess Duvaunt)

Lady Elizabeth Braythwayte won the prize, with her lovely performance on the cornamuse.

I've included links to sheet music and other information for some of the pieces above. If you can add more, please do.
