Rapier Championship Tourney at St Catherine's

Come, fencers of Ildhafn! Polish your blades, adorn your cloaks and bucklers; and bring skill at arms and courtesy to give honour to our Barony; for as is our tradition, a tourney will be fought at St Catherine's to select the Rapier Champion of Ildhafn for the coming year.

The tournament will be held during St Catherine's Picnic. In keeping with the informal nature of the event, the exact time and format will be decided on the day by the current Rapier Champion,  William de Cameron, and will suit the interests of the combatants and their number.

As the tournament will probably take place in mid-afternoon, please arrive by 2pm if you wish to participate.

The fencer who is victorious shall be called Rapier Champion of the Barony of Ildhafn for the coming year; and shall bear away the blue velvet cape, and with it the duty to arrange a similar tournament for St Catherine's a year hence.
